Recipe #9 - Lemon Bread

 Made recipes on back to back days, decided to post about them on the same day!

Started later than planned in the evening, but didn't regret making this scrumptious bread.

Gathered all the ingredients:

So often I don't plan ahead enough to get things to room temperature that are supposed to be room temperature.

Eggs, no problem, just put them in some warm water.

Butter, my brilliant idea was to put it in the oven inside the bread pan.

It was "softened" alright (AKA mostly melted...) good thing I needed the whole stick for this recipe, and was planning to use the butter to grease the pan!

Despite over softening, the butter and sugar creamed up just fine. And, I was surprised by the instruction to switch back and forth between adding some of the dry ingredients with some milk stirring in completely between each. The batter came out beautifully, I'll credit that alternation ;)

It filled the pan nicely

And cooked up well (but took about 10min longer than predicted for the toothpick to come out clean, you can see multiple holes from checking if you look closely)

While I was a tiny bit short on the amount of lemon juice, and I made the powdered sugar my self (by blending some granulated sugar) I think the glaze was the perfect edition!

Tangy and moist - not mad about eating or sharing this!
